Rear Window, Activator

In this clip, I hear mysterious and sort of upbeat music. Also, the viewer can clearly hear all the background noise used to show the neighborhood blocks chaos and instability. Using these sounds, the director can set the mood for the film as the viewer will view this as a mystery.

In the late 1940's , the Post-war period of film began. During this time, the fear of communism spreading was prevalent. Many organizations, especially HUAC, thought that directors would use media to turn people to the beliefs of communism. This caused many to be skeptical leading to the blacklisting of some members in the film industry.
